Founders/Board of Directors

 

Michael J. Goldfarb: Mr. Goldfarb is the Founder of Carpet Exchange and opened his first store in downtown Seattle in 1972. He remained Chairman and CEO until 1997 when the operating business, with 26 stores located throughout the Western United States, was sold. He continues to own 21 of the buildings and leases them back to Carpet Exchange. Mr. Goldfarb currently manages his real estate portfolio and invests in real estate projects as well as other ventures.

Mr. Goldfarb is a contributor to United Way at the Diamond Circle level and to the Jewish Federation of Seattle at the Prime Ministers Council level.

Louis H. Mills: Mr. Mills is a Retired Partner from a regional CPA firm and has been serving on public and private company boards. He has served on the board of public financial institutions on their audit and compensation committees. He is Chairman of Foundation Banks Audit committee. Mr. Mills also is involved in real estate development and business advising to closely held businesses. Mr. Mills is on the accounting advisory board for the University of Washington and is also member of Seattle Rotary. He is also a member in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington Society of CPAs.

Robert J. Pfau: In 1999 Mr. Pfau retired after a 35-year career with U.S. Bank. He has a strong background in all facets of lending and has held the positions of Branch Manager and Credit Administrator. During his final ten years at U.S. Bank, Mr. Pfau served as Senior Vice President and Team Leader for its Seattle Metro Corporate Banking division.

Morris Piha: In 1965 Mr. Piha founded Morris Piha Real Estate Services and presently serves as Chairman. Since 1957 he has been involved in all aspects of commercial and investment properties in the Puget Sound area including sales, leasing, partnership syndication, new development and redevelopment. Mr. Piha holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the National Association of Realtors.

Mr. Piha has been actively involved for many years with a variety of community organizations including Make A Wish Foundation and Samis Foundation.
